A New Moon in Taurus Spread

Taurus is possibly the most well-grounded out of all the twelve signs in the horoscope. Its earthy nature makes it the most reliable of all constellations, never-changing, ever-faithful, and always there to assist those in need.

Taurus is possibly the most well-grounded out of all the twelve signs in the horoscope. Its earthy nature makes it the most reliable of all constellations, never-changing, ever-faithful, and always there to assist those in need. There is however a more negative, one would say almost sinister side to it. The Taurus can be very materialistic and possessive of both inanimate objects as well as living people around them. Occasionally, this can turn into a tendency to never let go, a need to forever "possess" everything and everyone they see as belonging to them.

What the New Moon in Taurus Will Be About

This characteristic is particularly emphasized with the New Moon in the sign's domain. This is when a more possessively inclined Taurus can turn a perfectly steady, calm and serene relationship into a veritable prison for the other side. They are capable of going to great lengths to make sure everything is under control and that their loved one is behaving properly. Trying to follow their every move and monitor their friendships is not at all uncommon and neither is full-on spying and eavesdropping. While not quite as intense as this behaviour would manifest in a Scorpio, it can still generate quite a lot of discomfort, stress and, ultimately, open conflict between the partners.

Releasing Negativity and Expanding Trust During the Taurus New Moon

Since the Taurus is not very prone to verbal fights (and generally has trouble expressing their thoughts and feelings in words), the whole situation may become even worse as they will tend to bottle their feelings and even hold grudges for an indefinite amount of time. Being an Earth sign, the Taurus is well capable of remembering minuscule "mistakes" their loved one had made seemingly forever. This can (and usually does) lead to rising tensions and an inevitable explosion - or rather an implosion in the case of the somewhat inward facing and self-destructive Taurus.

Still, each situation, no matter how negative it may seem, provides us with a lesson we ought to learn. Possessiveness is rarely a good trait to have and largely limits the maneuvering space of the person we are dealing with in a romantic coupling or any other sort of interpersonal relationship. On the long run, it can be extremely counterproductive and make our loved ones begin seeing us as a burden and a domineering presence in their lives.

This is why it is important to make an effort and be more welcoming and less restrictive. Enjoy the company of those around you, of your partner, family members and friends. Appreciate the here and now and don't obsess too much over what you have no reign of. Look forward to the future but don't hold a tight grip on it and expect everything to always be under perfect control. It won't be. It never will. There is joy in the random and luck to be found in the arbitrary. Learn to take advantage of the fluidity and malleability of the world as it is. It can be very liberating indeed.
